Society| Modern Heroes

Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Melchora Aquino, Lapu-Lapu, Apolinario Mabini, is one of the people who fought for democracy in the Philippines. But you know, National Heroes Day is not only celebrated in the Philippines but also in the different parts of the world. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk of Turkey, Queen Elizabeth II of United Kingdom, George Washington of United States of America, America and many other countries honor their soldiers.“Tomb of the Unknown Soldier”, a tradition that started after the First World
War to honor all those soldiers who had lost their life in battle without their remains being identified.

Nowadays, in spite of seeing crimes, there are people who prevent crimes. In spite of all the fight, there are the peacemakers. In spite of all the confusions, there are the ones who will enlighten us.

A poor child has no clothes and felt really cold when suddenly a woman who has a jacket immediately covered the child with her jacket.
A man who lives in the streets beg for money and is sick. With the thousand people who walk through him only one who wholeheartedly helped the man.
A child lost in the city and have no idea in this world seen by a humble woman consoled her and brought her to the police station for them to help the child to go home safely and find her parents.
A teacher who works all day and all night just to finish the papers and grades for her dear students.
This is the Modern Heroes.

Being a heroe is not being a soldier and risking your life it's about how you help your dear brothers and sisters. All of us can be a heroe. Being part of this world is a big responsibility, with billions of us in this world each one of us have tasks that the lord has given to us. So, let us be a heroe in ourselves.

Society| R.I.P. DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo

With his voice cracking, Transportation Secretary Mar Roxas confirmed Tuesday morning that the body of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo was found at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, 800 meters from the shore of Masbate. August 21, 2012, Tuesday Morning. The body of Sec. Jesse was recovered after 3 days.
Since August 18, 2012, Saturday the rescuers didn't stop to look for Sec. Jesse. The search and rescue team didn't give up.

I really don't know what kind of person is Sec. Jesse, but they said he was truly a loyal person. Being involved to the government you really need to be a loyal servant of the law if the sayings about him that he's loyal is true then he's really a big loose to the government. A report said that when he's angry with his workers instead of shouting to them he just bites his finger.

The family of Sec. Jesse was really strong. While Sec. Jesse was still missing, they were all ready to what will happen.

There were a lot of supporters who prayed and prayed for the safety and success of Sec. Jesse. They were all hoping that Sec. Jesse will be still alive.

Sec. Mar Roxas said, August 20, 2012, Monday that he was talking with the other secretaries and the president of the philippines and they imagined that Sec. Jesse will just appear there and will ask, "Oh, Bakit kayo nagkakagulo dito?" "Oh, Why are you all panicking?"

We just all need to pray for the soul of Sec. Jesse Robredo. R.I.P.

Sports| Closing Ceremony-2012 Olympics, London 2012

The Closing Ceremony celebrates the achievements of athletes at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and includes a Handover from one Host City to the next. In 2012, London will hand over to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympic Games. The Closing Ceremony also features the extinguishing of the Olympic Flame, signalling the end of the Games.
The Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games will provide an opportunity for the world to view the artistic expression of Artistic Director Kim Gavin, his team and the culture of our Host City and the UK. As with the Opening Ceremony, there are certain elements that must feature as outlined in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Charter. The artistic performance of the Ceremony then gets underway and celebrates the success of the Games.
The Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games will be titled ‘A Symphony of British Music’, to celebrate the fact that music has been one of Britain’s strongest cultural exports over the last 50 years. The worldwide broadcast of the Ceremony will start at 9pm and feature more than 4,100 performers, including 3,500 adult volunteers and 380 schoolchildren from the six east London Host Boroughs.
Organisers will work with some of the country’s most globally successful musicians, along with some of the industry’s stars of tomorrow. The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) has been appointed to record the soundtracks for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

March of the athletes

The flagbearers of the participating delegations enter the Stadium in single file, closely followed by the athletes. At the Closing Ceremony, athletes march together, not by nationality. This is a tradition that began at the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games and is a way of bringing the athletes of the world together as 'one nation'.

Flags and speeches

Three national flags are hoisted on flagpoles one at a time, while the corresponding national anthems are played: the flag of Greece to honour the birthplace of the Olympic Games, the flag of the Host Nation (UK), and the flag of the country hosting the next Summer Olympic Games (Brazil). The Mayor of the Host City joins the President of the IOC on the rostrum and gives him back the flag. The President of the IOC then symbolically presents this to the Mayor of the next Host City of the Olympic Games, before making a speech declaring the Games closed.

Extinguishing of the Flame

The Olympic Flame, which has been burning in the Cauldron since the opening of the Games, is then extinguished – a poignant and moving moment for all those involved in the Games and the audience at large.

Creative team

A host of world-class British directors and producers are leading the artistic team to stage the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the London 2012 Games.

Performers

A total cast of 15,000 will take part in the London 2012 Opening and Closing Ceremonies, which will be watched by a huge global audience.
All the delegates from around the world did their best. With or without medals we must salute them for their hard work and perseverance. A true athlete is one who can accept his lose, this is not the last time. For 2016, it will be a new journey, new sets of athletes will compete for their country's pride. Goodbye athletes. Farewell.
May the odds be ever in your favor.

Society| #PrayForThePhilippines

Two weeks ago and until now was a traumatic experience for Filipinos. Philippines is experiencing heavy rainfalls causing extreme floods in the different parts of the  Philippines especially in Luzon. Water levels was approximately 6 feet high in some places. Some cars and various things were floating unto the water, houses filled with water, people were up in their roof. That was the scenario here in the Philippines. Last 2009 we remember the typhoon ONDOY, it was really a strong one. And this year we are experiencing it again.

Inspite of this calamity, Filipinos gathered together and gave all their effort to help their fellow citizens. I myself experienced to be flooded. It was really difficult. But with our neighbors we helped each other and was able to rise again.

Filipinos are happy persons. It's really true. With all the obstacles that we face in our lives we are able to smile, to laugh. We just need to think positive. We already have problems and were just making it worst if we cry. If we have problems we must smile and seems like there's nothing wrong. If we just help each other, everything will be alright.

Society| Are You Pro or Anti RH Bill?

I just want to share this photo with you guys, this photo really caught my eyes.
(c) 100% Katolikong Pinoy! in Facebook

My Opinion:
This days, our society have unfixed problems. Like in the picture, education. Education is a major problem in our society. Lack of classrooms, teachers, books, etc. We also have some major problems aside education. The government must do something first with the problems we have than putting first the RH Bill. There are more important matters than RH Bill.
